Cinderella DVD Review & Giveaway

Once upon a time, Cinderella took place in the west.

It’s time to trade in those glass slippers for a pair of cowboy boots, as Anchor Bay Entertainment’s newest DVD release brings a classic fairy tale to the wild west. With a cast of furry and  fun new characters, this version follows Cinderella, a sassy cowgirl on her trek across the West in search of a kidnapped Duchess.

In this movie, Cinderella’s stepmother, Felicity decides to host a ball in honor of the arrival of the charming Prince Vladimir and his mother, the Duchess. Cinderella is transformed into a beautiful cowgirl for the celebration and the Prince is spellbound by her.

But, the Prince and Cinderella become separated when the ball is crashed by a band of wild pirates, who kidnap the Duchess. Cinderella, Little Cloud, and the Prince set out on an exciting journey to rescue the Duchess across the wild west and to live happily ever after.

My niece and nephew love the tale of Cinderella, so they were very excited to watch this spin-off. I think they enjoyed this story more than the classic because it involves animals and it was more exciting to them. They love adventure, so they could definitely relate to the adventure captured in this movie. I would say that if your children loved the classic tale of Cinderella, whether reading the book or watching the movie, then they are going to enjoy this twist.
