What’s Your Favorite Fall Memory?

I remember taking Zach for his 6-month well-check last November and how he was so excited to go outside to play with the leaves. We had made a huge pile of leaves in front of our house earlier and his face lit up when he saw it, so I sat him on top of the pile of leaves and he was having the time of his life throwing them all over the place.

He started crying when it was time to get going to the Doctor’s and it took me 10 minutes to get him situated in his carseat. After he was calm, I buckled him in and tucked a blanket over him so he could stay snug and warm. He wouldn’t stop smiling after that! He was in the greatest moods of all and didn’t fuss during the car ride or even at the Doctor’s office.

Best baby, ever.

There’s definitely something about the Fall season that seems to lift the spirits of those around me. Zach will be spending the Fall this year overseas. While there are no changing leaves, there’s definitely the warmth of actually being able to be a family to keep our spirits up.

I just miss Fall, all-together – We moved from the NE to Texas and San Antonio does not really have a “fall” season :( I miss the smell in the air, the crisp air, the jeans, everything :(
