PMD Microdermabrasion Review and Giveaway!

Ever since puberty, I’ve had an issue with acne. And, since I inherited my Father’s skin, it has caused my skin to scar badly. I’ve tried a bunch of different treatments, proactive, oxyclean, clearsil, anything with teatree oil, but suffice it to say, nothing has really made an impact that lasted more than a handful of months. I had heard about PMD Microdermabrasion a while ago. As a daughter of a woman that works in the world of beauty, you tend to pick up on a few things.

This is such a cool at home treatment, and it’s far cheaper than going to a dermatologist.

Benefits of PMD Microdermabrasion

  • Makes your skin smooth, taking away the dull and rough outer layer of skin
  • reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.
  • Helps minimize pours.
  • Evens skin tone, by leveling the pigmentation
  • And, it even reduces the formation of acne

After the second week of using PMD, I saw a difference in my skin. First of all, I noticed that it had taken away the tan on my face. But, I guess that’s what I asked for once I started using a Personal Microdermabrasion…which is essentially a dead skin sucking vacuum. The biggest difference that I noticed was in my acne scars. They’re not entirely faded yet, but they are remarkably less noticeable (and, as I say this I really wish I had taken a before and after picture so you guys could witness the big difference that it has made).

I will forewarn you though, using the PMD for the first time is kind of scary. I say this because the second you put it to your skin it makes this loud sucking/vacuum sound. I might have had my Mother help me the first time I used it, because I was frightened that I might leave it in one spot for too long. Because, it has mentioned both online, and in the DVD that leaving it in one place for too long can cause a burn like sensation.

Overall, I think the Personal microderm is definitely something to invest in. It’s at a retail value of $179.99, and once you take in to consideration the fact that one Microdermabrassion session with a dermatologist is about the same value; you’re going to be saving time AND money in the long run with a PMD.

I have large pores, creating a very uneven texture. This would help give my skin a smoother texture!

At my age you would think having blackheads wouldn’t be a problem but they have begun to appear with menopause!

I battle cystic acne so I have several scars that I would love to see fade or disappear completely. I also for some reason have starting having darker spots in some places on my face (I’m sure it’s from being in the sun – even with a good sunblock). I’d love to see if this would even out my complexion too.

I have “orange peel” looking skin or pores and need a good device to treat those areas.

ive been encountering cystice scne for a little less than a year due to ms treatments, leaving MULTIPLE scars on my face, go figure! ive tried regular exfoliants, and, not so much….hoping to win this as to not to invest into yet another product that i am not sure will make these scars fade, def a skeptic after all the trials that have failed. thanks for the opportunity!
