What a hard journey this must be. I couldn’t imagine being away from my husband for so long and even though I went through my first pregnancy alone and raised my daughter on my own for the first three years of her life due to an absent father, I don’t think I could do the same while actually having a husband.

We used to be practically neighbours! I lived over in Windsor until I moved away to be together with my husband – we lived apart for two years after he joined the Army, but we never went as long as you without seeing each other. Wow I can’t imagine how hard it would be to be separated from your husband and all your family and friends when you find out you’re pregnant.
