Share MayFlowers Campaign and Giveaway! 3 Winners!
I recently heard about the Share MayFlowers Campaign and I hope that it reaches as many women out there as it can. The Share MayFlowers Campaign aims to educate women about health issues realted to pregnancy and childbirth pain or injury, and bladder and bowel problems. If you’re like me and you don’t know what those types of issues include, then that’s exactly why the campaign was started.
Share MayFlowers focuses on informing others about under-discussed topics of female pelvic and prenatal health issues that are perfectly treatable. Inspired to do more than educate women one by one, Share MayFlowers is asking women and men to wear a flower (or anything floral) every day in the month of May as a sign of support and to encourage dialogue on the topic of female pelvic and prenatal health.
I think the Share MayFlowers is a great way to help spread the word about female health issues that aren’t commonly discussed. Had I known about this campaign sooner, I would’ve shown my support by wearing a flower or at least something floral each day. But now that May has come to an end, I am showing my support by hosting a giveaway.
Enter to Win!
Three winners will each receive a cornhusk flower accessory in support of the Share MayFlowers Campaign.
Disclosure: I did not receive any compensation for this post.

June 5, 2012 at 11:23 am (347 days ago)I’d love to support this campaign because I feel it is important to educate all women about things that could possible go on within their own bodies. Every day is a learning experience for everyone, but when it comes to your body, it would be better to be a little “prepared” and educated about some issues.

June 6, 2012 at 3:42 pm (346 days ago)I have personally seen the complications of pregnancy that my mom experience when a quack of a doctor did a butcher job of a c-section and then didn’t remove all of the after birth. So with a subsequent pregnancy she part of her uterus had to be removed because it had rotted, and this cause her uterus to almost rupture. If she hadn’t had such great medical care for the rest of her pregnancies she would have died. But to get that care she had to travel almost 300 miles from home for the duration of her pregnancies.
Now I personally am having woman issues that may not be able to be handled locally do to a lack of trained medical professionals.

June 6, 2012 at 4:21 pm (346 days ago)I have endometriosis, that I had to diagnose myself with and convince the doctor to do surgery to confirm it. Women’s health is still in the dark ages and doctors are not trained to diagnose and treat women properly. They are taught that women complain, that women overreact to pain and that it is usually in their head (which I have been told many times…). I plan on becoming a nurse and focusing on women’s health, so a campaign like this is near and dear to me.

June 8, 2012 at 11:00 am (344 days ago)I think this campaign is great! I hate how some of the more personal female issues and conditions seem so underground if you will and not talked about a lot. This program can hopefully get the word and treatment out to so many more people!
