One Tree Hill: Brooke’s Personal Growth
I am so sad to see One Tree Hill come to an end, but I am really excited that the 9th season is coming to DVD/UltraViolet! Throughout the series, we have seen a lot of characters grow and change, but one character that sticks out to me is Brooke.
In the beginning of One Tree Hill, Brooke was wild and generally care-free and throughout the series we see her mature into a grounded young woman. In the final season, Brooke is a mother to twin boys and is excited for her future with her husband, Julian. I’ve always been fond of Brooke throughout the series, so it was fun to see her take on a new role as a wife and mother.
I can relate to Brooke’s character and the changes she’s gone through during the series. When I was still in high school I was a very care-free adolescent, selfish. After I graduated and got married, I found out I was pregnant 2 months later and my life changed completely. I was no longer self-absorbed because I knew that there was something that mattered more, my son. Becoming a wife and mom, like Brooke, helped me see the world in a new way.
The One Tree Hill 2-hour Series Finale airs on Wednesday, April 4th at 8/7c on the CW!
