Newman’s Own Organics Review and #Giveaway
Some of my favorite snack foods are probably not the healthiest for me, so I’ve been looking into options that are made with more natural and organic ingredients. This way, I don’t feel so guilty about eating these kind of snacks. One brand I came across was Newman’s Own Organics, a company that separated from Newman’s Own in 2001 and offers a more natural line of products.
Newman’s Own Organics offers great tasting pretzels, chocolate bars, cookies, pop corn, and so much much (including pet food!). We received a large box of Newman’s Own Organics snacks to try out and I was so surprised by how delicious this organic option was for us. I personally loved all of the products, even the Ginger O’s (something I would never normally buy), but my family and I were able to narrow it down to our top four choices.
Newman-O’s are cream filled chocolate cookies that come in a variety of 6 flavors. You can choose from Original, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Hint O’ Mint, Ginger ‘n Cream, and Wheat Free Dairy Free. Our favorite was the Peanut Butter Newman-O’s. They tasted better than Oreo’s, which my family loves. This peanut butter cream-filled chocolate delight is the perfect snack when you’re on the go or if you just want to have some milk and cookies for the night! I love that it’s made with organic flour and organic sugar, too. These cookies taste fresher than other ones I’ve tried in the past. Our second favorite was the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Family Recipe Cookies. These cookies tasted very similar to my old favorite, Amos Cookies, but even better! They are bite-sized cookies that are great for snacking on. They are crunchy, but very delicious. We loved snacking on these during the afternoon and they were also great for long car ride snacking. We loved how delicious these cookies tasted! It had the perfect amount of oatmeal and chocolate to satisfy our tastebuds.
Our third favorite was the Fat Free Fig Newmans! This is pretty much the organic spin off of the Fig Newtons, one of my all-time favorite kind of cookies. Fig Newmans are the first fig bar made with organic figs, organic sugar, organic flour, and without hydrogenated oils! These were my personal favorites because I love Fig Newtons. I would definitely choose the Fig Newmans over the Fig Newtons because they are made with organic ingredients and have fewer calories. They even taste better, too.
Lastly, our fourth favorite was the Strawberry Licorice Twists. Newman’s Own Organics introduces the first licorice twist made with organic ingredients. The licorice twists come in Black, Strawberry, Pomegrante, and Tangerine. The Tangerine and Pomegrante ones tasted really delicious, but the Strawberry ones captured our taste buds the most! We weren’t too fond of the black licorice though, it was too strong. The organic licorice twists by Newman’s Own Organics are delicious and very fresh-tasting. We loved these!
