Bouncing Babies Flip Cloth Diaper Review and $20 Store Credit Giveaway! (Ends 10/31)

Bouncing Babies is a cloth diaper retailer that offers a long line of cloth diapers and accessories from various brands. It is a great resource for parents looking to try various brands of cloth diapers from one place. Bouncing Babies was founded by Stacey and Megan, two moms who met through cloth diapering forums and who shared a passion to own a cloth diaper business. Stacey and Megan are super sweet and will take care of your cloth diaper questions and needs.

Up for review, I received a Flip all-in-2 cloth diaper in Moonbeam and an organic insert from Bouncing Babies. I’ve never reviewed an all-in-2 diaper yet, so I was excited to see how well this would work on Squishy. To use this diaper you would place the insert under the butterfly flaps, put it on your baby, and you’re good to go. When changing your baby, all you have to do is toss the insert in your diaper pail, replace the insert with a clean one, and reuse the cover! You can reuse the cover for about 4 changes (by wiping it after each change), and then set it aside to air dry and use another cover in your rotation with Flip. The cover is made from a waterproof laminated polyester material and the cover tabs are made from polyester and spandex. The Flip features 2 rows of 10 waist snaps and a 2 row rise setting. This diaper has 3 sizes (small, medium, large) and will fit most babies between 7lbs – 35lbs. The Flip is available in 11 colors :)

I love how easy this diaper is to use. Squishy has been very squirmy lately whenever I’m trying to change his diaper, so because I don’t have to stuff this diaper like my pockets, I can easily change him quickly and effortlessly. I thought that because I had to fold the insert in thirds that it wouldn’t cover the inside of the diaper correctly, but to my surprise it lays inside the diaper very well. I like the butterfly closure flaps that I use to keep the insert in put, I’ve never had a problem with the insert moving around which I thought would happen. This diaper surprised me with how well it worked! I love the snaps on this diaper because I don’t have to struggle to snap and unsnap them like I do with some other diapers in my stash. And the tabs on this diaper are super stretchy, which I love. I can always get a good fit for Squishy.

The Flip Cloth diaper has two insert options, Stay-Dry insert of Organic Insert. The Stay-Dry is made from 3 layers of absorbent microfiber and is topped with a smooth stay-dry suede that wicks away moisture from your baby’s bum. The Flip Organic Insert that I received is very soft and very absorbent. This insert is made from 100% organic cotton and is easy to use. The insert has dividing lines so you can fold both sides into the middle (crossing one side over the other) and place it inside the Flip. What I like about this insert is that you can change the size settings simply by folding it to your desired size. The insert is rectangular shaped, so if you want a shorter insert you can fold the insert across the longer length of the rectangle and if you want a longer insert you would fold it across the shorter length of the rectangle. The organic insert is ideal for heavy wetters. Squishy is a heavy wetter, so I use this diaper in rotation during night time. The insert does a great job with absorbency and Squishy never leaks.

The Flip features form fitting elastic to prevent leaks. This happens to be one of my favorite features of the Flip diaper. The elastic used in the waist and leg areas are SUPER stretchy. You can see just how stretchy the waist is from the pictures above. I love love love this feature. This allows you to get a really good fit for your baby and prevents your baby from getting red marks. I’ve had a problem with my FuzziBunz giving Squishy red marks because the elasticity is restricted, even after adjusting the sizes. Squishy never gets red marks on his legs or waist when using the Flip diaper because the elasticity is so generous. Even though the elastic is stretchy, it still holds its shape against Squishy’s skin, and gently hugs his waist and legs. Squishy doesn’t leak with this diaper because of this feature, even if he has a blow out. LOVE IT.

Here’s Squishy rockin’ his Flip cloth diaper. I’m surprised he actually stayed still for me to take these pictures! This diaper isn’t the trimmest, but it certainly isn’t the bulkiest. It fits under his clothes, so I’m a happy mama. The Flip fits around his waist and legs well and he never leaks when wearing it. When wearing this diaper he can move around and squirm (he’s still learning how to crawl) around the floor with ease. I can always get a good fit for him with this diaper because of how stretchy it is, so I never have a hard time snapping the tabs to a certain spot. Overall, I think this is a really great diaper. If you’re on the go, this would be a perfect diaper to use because it won’t take up too much room in your diaper bag and wet bag! I just need a few more inserts so I can use it to its full potential! With more inserts I can reuse the cover, instead of using an entirely new diaper.
