Review and Giveaway: Chaos…Simplified Woman’s Day Planner (Ends 9/26)

Chaos…Simplified was created when a mother of three was looking for the “perfect planner”. She wanted a planner that would help her stay organized and was fun to write in. She had a hard time finding one that would best suit her, so she decided to make her own. Chaos…Simplified offers a line of planners for women and girls. The planner is designed to help you keep track of your everyday tasks, plan ahead for the future, and keep your whole life under control.

Up for review, I received the Woman’s Day Planner. The planner is a 8″x10″ coil book. It’s brown and features a very simple design. The tagline reads, “The Beauty of Harmony” and is stressed throughout the planner many times. The notes she placed throughout the planner reminds you to relax, breathe, and take it a day at a time. We all have busy lives, and this planner is a great way to help you stay organized, prioritize, and reminds you to have fun.

The planner features a newly designed monthly “budget page” complete with fixed and variable expenses. In my household, I’m not really in charge of these things because I’m living with my parents currently, but this would definitely come in handy for me when I move out and become in charge of my household (of course, with the help of hubby). I like that this planner allows you to keep track of household appliances! It gives you an area to write down the serial number, warranty, model, and date of an appliance, which will come in handy if you break something. There is also a section that lets you keep track of birthdays, contacts, notes, and much more.

One of my favorite features of this planner that I haven’t experienced with any other planner is that there is a pocket divider that divides up each month. I found this feature incredibly great because it allows you to store your monthly bills, school notes, cards, anything you might need to keep on hand that month. I usually use this section of the planner to keep my handouts from my classes in or upcoming assignments. Another feature that I love is the 3″ fold-over page marker. The page marker is beautifully designed and is allows you to keep track of your place when you are planning. Most of the planners I’ve used in the past don’t come with a page-marker, and it bugs me so much! So I was really happy to see that this planner has one :)

And lastly, my absolute favorite feature of them all- the half page format. This planner is unlike any other planner I’ve used because of this main feature. The half page format allows you to have a weekly view and a monthly view on the same page. The weekly view is always on top and the monthly view is always on the bottom. This style eliminates the drawback of having to flip through pages of your planner to view your monthly calendar and also eliminates the drawback of not having enough space to write your details in your monthly calendar. You can use the monthly view on the bottom to write down quick events, notes, etc. and then use the weekly view on top to write down the details for each event, note, etc. What I also like is that the weekly view is not only divided by days, it is also divided by time. So, for the Monday section you have space designed for Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and even a supper plan section! I think this feature sets the Women’s Day Planner apart from the rest. I love it!

I would definitely want the 2012 Womans {life} Planner… I am a HUGE planner and unfortunately the planner I currently have been using is small and ugly (from the dollar store sadly enough). I am in LOVE with planners and just have a hard time finding one that works and is decent priced… I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE this!

I really like the women’s “brown, chair by the lake” planner, but it says it’s sold out. The other is nice too. Unfortuneately, I have become quite ill over the past few years and so I have a disturbing number of appts. every month. This would be so nicw to help me keep some of my crazy life organized. My mind is really going and I have limited memory; I need all the help I can get.

On the Dandelion earth-friendly baby goods post, I couldn’t stop looking at those adorable cuddly animals. Their fabric looks incredibly soft and silky. I just want to touch it and it does actually make me want to purchase one. So cute!
