Book Review: A Place Called Blessing by John Trent

“A Place Called Blessing” by John Trent
Book Review:

I had the opportunity to review “A Place Called Blessing” by John Trent. The book is about a five year old boy named Josh and his two older brothers who lost their parents in a drunk-driving accident. Josh and his older brothers are forced to live in foster homes and a sudden tragedy separates the brothers, leaving Josh all alone. The separations leaves Josh angry, sad, and distrustful towards everyone he encounters.

When Josh turns 18, he sets out to find a job of his own, in hopes of gaining independence. In his search, Josh finds more than what he was looking for. He finds more than physical shelter and material items. He finds the gift of “The Blessing”. This gift changes his life for the better.

The book features a guide for reader’s to identify the five elements that every person needs in accordance to the bible. Through the power of Josh, readers learn how to give the gift of blessing to their own children, and to others around them. The author does a great job of helping readers understand a strong, spiritual message that will inspire them to touch hearts of others. The story is short enough for any busy person to read and become inspired. Readers become attached to Josh’s story and want to see how it turns out. It is a very engaging book.

I reccomend this book to anyone who needs to be inspired by a story. It will really make you think twice about things, and look at them from a new perspective.
