This Sponsor Spotlight is for Peaceable Kingdom! Peaceable Kingdom creates fun, fresh, award-winning products that are set out to educate and inspire your young ones. Peaceable Kingdom was founded in 1983 with a single product, a poster. Now Peaceable Kingdom offers more than 5,000 items in their store- from greeting cards and diaries to early learning products, games, and stickers. Peaceable Kingdom has a mission to create great educational products, donate frequently to charitable organizations, and to use sustainable and eco-friendly material.
Peaceable Kingdom uses eco-friendly material to make their products. These materials include FSC and recycled papers, soy-based inks, and corn-based plastics when they can. This sends out a great message to families that they really care about the environment when creating products that inspire children to learn.
The kind people over at Peaceable Kingdom generously sent me a product to facilitate this review. I chose to review the Alphabet blocks. These blocks are found in their Early Learning section of their website. This section also includes ABC Match Up Games, Alphabet Blocks, and Board Books. To break it down further, there are 4 different types of Alphabet Blocks you can choose from: Animal Alphabet Blocks, A to Z Alphabet Blocks, Goodnight Moon Alphabet Blocks, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Alphabet Blocks. I chose the A to Z alphabet blocks.
Details:
The set includes 16 sturdy paper blocks that are each 2″ by 2″. This includes 26 upper case letters, 26 lower case letters, and 16 extra lower case letters. I really enjoy the careful artwork on each block, it’s very child-friendly and basic. These blocks help your child in developing hand-eye coordination and motor skills, while learning their letters.
These blocks are great because they can be used in many ways, and because a child is very imaginative, the possibilities are endless. Children can stack them, make letter trains, build towers, play spelling games, and even learn the names of different objects as well. These blocks are made from high-quality materials and are the perfect size for little hands.
What I love about these blocks is that they come in a very cute keepsake box to store them in. This is great during clean-up, as the child can learn to put his/her blocks back in the box when they are done. Because these blocks come in a keepsake box, it makes for the perfect gift for a baby shower, birthday, or even holidays. The keepsake box is very convenient, and has a magnetic close top that flips open and shut for simple storage.
I love that these blocks are light-weight. Other blocks are a little heavier, and we all know how children love to throw things. Haha, in the case that your child throws these blocks, it won’t hurt as much…just a perk I thought about. Another thing I like is the artwork on these blocks. Like I mentioned before, it’s very basic yet fun and creative. This is great for children who are just starting to learn their letters because they won’t become overwhelmed. One thing I worry about however, is that since the blocks are made of paper material, I’m not sure if they would resist water or not. If they don’t, the water would just ruin the blocks. I’m afraid to try and see!
